The Secretariat

Thanks to a bottom-up approach, some of the students participating in the EUWEB Module are included in all the activities with the establishment of the Secretariat of the EUWEB Module.
The Members of the Secretariat conduct the following activities:
Pure basic research: research of documents, sources and judgements;
Strategic basic research: selection of documents, sources and judgements in order to undertaken to acquire new knowledge;
Applied research: elaboration of original work undertaken primarily to acquire new knowledge with a specific application in view;
Experimental development: elaboration of systematic work, using existing knowledge gained from research or practical experience.

THIRD EDITION

Paola Aloia

Graduated in Political Sciences and International Relations at University of Salerno, with a thesis in International Law on ‘NGOs and the International Community: A Dual Relationship Between Cooperation and Conflict’, Paola Aloia is now attending a Degree course in Global Studies and EU (curriculum in Policies for European Union Strategies) at the same University. Passionate in International Development Cooperation, EU’s integration process and Migrations in the Mediterranean Area, she is actually enrolled as volunteer for various NGOs engaged in these domains.

Elio Annunziata

Graduated in Foreign Languages and Cultures (i.e., English and German) with a thesis in Political Science on ‘Chinese Foreign Policy in the 21st Century’, at the University of Salerno, Elio Annunziata is now attending a Degree course in Global Studies and EU (curriculum in International Politics and Security Governance), at the same University.

His research interests are mainly focused on International Relations, Euro-Mediterranean Studies and International Security with regard to European Issues and Intercultural Communication.

Fluently speaking five languages (Italian, English, German, French and Spanish. Currently), he is also included in several research projects funded by the University of Salerno in the field of International and EU Law and Jurisprudence (i.e. Human Rights Protection and Transnational Crimes).

Myriam De Chiara

Myriam De Chiara is a Graduate Student in Law at the Department of Legal Sciences (School of Law) of the University of Salerno.

Due to her research interests in the domain of International Law, and above all, of International Criminal Law, Human Rights and Judicial Cooperation, she attended several conferences organized by the Department of Legal Sciences and she is about to graduate with a thesis in in comparative criminal procedural law on the comparison between the European Arrest Warrant and the extradition.

Annamaria Nadia Dhaim

Graduated cum laude with a double LL.B. in Franco-Italian Law and Public Law at Lumière University Lyon 2, Annamaria Nadia Dhaim has always had a keen interest in Diplomatic Law and International Criminal Law.

After being selected to attend the International Minerve Program and being awarded two Erasmus scholarships to study in Spain and Portugal, she is now specializing in Public International Law at the University of Salerno.

During her academic career, Annamaria Nadia Dhaim focused her researches on Immigration, Human Rights and Comparative Constitutional Law and Policy.

Aspiring to a career in International Human Rights Protection, she is now included in several research projects funded by University of Salerno on Criminal Law, Human Rights Protection and Transnational Crimes.

Armando Antonio Ferrara

Graduated in Economics Management of Territorial and Tourism Resources in 2019 with a thesis in French entitled ‘Un Espace au Carrefour des Cultures, Belleville: l’influence de l’immigration dans la fondation de l’identité d’un quartier – La Présence Chinoise à Belleville, l’installation des Wenzhou et les Associations’, Armando Antonio Ferrara is now enrolled in a Degree in Global Studies and EU (curriculum in International Politics and Security Governance) at the University of Salerno.

Passionate about Geopolitics, European issues, and Migration policies, he is pursuing a master’s degree at the department of Social and Political Studies too.

Thanks to his professional and educational experience, he speaks fluently English and French ND participated in a double degree program at the Université Paris Nanterre, successfully obtaining a French degree.

He is currently included in various research projects funded by the University of Salerno concerning a wide range of subjects in the field of International and EU law (i.e. human rights protection, migration policies and transnational crimes).

SECOND EDITION

Diego Cacciatore

Graduate Student at the Department of Legal Sciences (School of Law) of the University of Salerno, Diego Cacciatore has partecipated at several conferences organized by the Department of Legal Sciences, especially in International and Criminal Law.

Due to his research interests in the field of EU Law, he won a semester scholarship at the Charles III in Madrid (Spain).

Fluenty speaking in English and thanks to his several abroad experiences, he obtained Cambridge certification of language in 2017. He simultaneously studied for an ECDL certification and obtained it in the same year

Gerardo Ferrentino

Graduated in Political Science and International Relations (L-36) at the University of Salerno (Italy), he wrote a thesis in Diplomatic Law entitled “The Dynamism of the Diplomatic Mission”.

Motivated by a strong political passion, interested in international phenomena and issues, Gerardo Ferrentino decided to specialize in International Sciences (LM-52) at the Department of Political and Social Studies of the University of Salerno.

He is also currently participating in various research projects funded by University of Salerno in the field of International Law and EU Law and jurisprudence (i.e. Criminal Law, Human Rights Protection and Transnational Crimes).

Lidia Iannibelli

Graduated in Law at the Department of Legal Sciences (School of Law) of the University of Salerno (Italy), Lidia Iannibelli has always been interested in Comparative Law, Criminal Law and Human Rights Protection. She is also Candidate Lawyer at the Bar of Salerno.

Thanks to the ERASMUS program she carried out a training period at the University of Mannheim (Germany) and another one at the University of Murcia (Spain) for thesis research.

As Vice President for Academic Activities of ELSA (European Law Student’ Association) Salerno first and then of ELSA Italy, she has coordinated the design and implementation of numerous training activities including the “Human Rights Talks” (2020), “Strategie per Vincere” (2020), as well as local and national Moot Court Competitions and Negotiation Competitions. In addition, she has actively collaborated in the implementation of projects such as “Cyberspace and the Law” (2020), “ELSA Italy for European Constitution” (2020), Jean Monnet Summer School on “‘International and European Human Rights Law’”(2019), Jean Monnet Summer School on “Climate Change, Health and the Environment” (2018-2017).

Consiglia Langella

Graduated in Foreign Languages and Cultures at the Salerno University (Italy), Consiglia Langella is specializing in Global Studies and EU at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Salerno.

She currently participates in various research projects funded by University of Salerno concerning wide range of subjects in the field of International and EU law and jurisprudence (i.e. Criminal Law, Human Rights Protection and Transnational Crimes).

FIRST EDITION

Simona Medici

Graduated Student in Law at the Department of Legal Sciences (School of Law) of the University of Salerno, Simona Medici participated in several research projects funded by the University of Salerno and by the Center for International Studies “Enforex”, in Salamanca (Spain) in the domains of international and EU law and jurisprudence (such as ethical issues, environmental and health protection, cultural heritage, and judicial and police coooperation).

Due her interest in the humanitarian issues, currently, Simona Medici serves as volunteer member of the Italian Red Cross.

Giovanna Naddeo

Graduated in Law at the Department of Legal Sciences (School of Law) of the University of Salerno, in 2019 Giovanna Naddeo won the first edition of Negotitation Competition promoted by the local section of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Italy.

Since 2016 she is member of the Italian Journalists’ Association and collaborates with several newspapers.

Francesco Potenza

Graduated in Law at the Salerno University (Italy), Francesco Potenza took part to a number of research projects funded by University of Salerno concerning wide range of subjects in the field of International and EU law and jurisprudence (i.e. Criminal Law, Human Rights Protection and Transnational Crimes).

Mariarosaria Rispoli

Master Graduated in Law at the Department of Legal Sciences (School of Law) of the University of Salerno, Mariarosaria Rispoli is Lawyer at the Bar of Salerno. Since 2018, she collaborated in several research projects (funded by University of Salerno) concerning a wide range of subjects in the fields of international and EU law and jurisprudence (i.e., cultural heritage, criminal law, human rights, and judicial and police cooperation).

In the contest of her experience in the regulatory and case-law domains, she carried out a significant internship at Tax Municipal Office, in Salerno.
